Nikko
The history of Nikkō (日光市) begins already 766 with the construction of Rinnō-ji-temple. Located in Nikkō is the mausoleum of the first Shōgun Tokugawa Ieyasu in Japan. Famous in Nikkō are the three wise monkeys (三猿): Together they embody the proverbial principle to "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil"
